Science:
Science instruction is taught in two ways in second grade: nonfiction text that meets our literacy standards and through our district-wide program FOSS. FOSS will begin after Labor Day. As we continue to develop our first theme - communities, we will begin to weave in Science instruction throughout the literacy block in nonfiction text (such as Weekly Reader.)
We look forward to a FABULOUS first week.
Sincerely,
The Second Grade Team
